I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer with the beautiful weather and the time to relax. I spent my summer traveling from Maine to Boston and hanging out at the park and pool with my son Austin. He is now a year old and enjoying many new freedoms with walking. I am so excited to get the year started and new school up and running. My hope for this blog is to be an interactive way for parents to communicate with me and get questions answered about testings, curriculum, and other ideas about reading. I am new to the position this year and want to make this year the best yet in my career. The links on this blog should help with interactive sites for students to visit and help parents with information about how to help their child become a successful reader.
