Friday's Agenda

If students get all 5 words correct for their spelling tomorrow then they will have no homework next week except to read each night! Study hard!

Agenda Friday June 5, 2009

9:00 – 9:20 – Breakfast, order lunch, and take attendance. Students should come in unpack and begin working on their morning work while eating their breakfast.

9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Curtis will go over the calendar and morning message with students.

9:30 – 10: 15 – Guided Reading
Students will take a practice test for word wall words. Students will finish a bcr question using their scholastic news for the week. Do you think “Thumbs Up For Summer Safety is a good title for the article? Explain using details from the text. Mrs. Del Balzo will also be retesting students on m-class.


10:15 – 11:10 – Poetry and Language
We will write a free verse poem as a class about school this year. We will create write another postcard about our favorite story.


11:10 – 11:30 – auction for prizes

11:30 – 11:50 – Spelling test!

11:50 – 12:50 Lunch and Recess

12:50 – 1:00 – We will go over our morning work in small groups and write down “No Homework” for tonight.

1:00 –Switch for math
















1:00 – 1:30 – We will complete our beginning work on grammar and write down our homework for the evening.

1:30 – 2:15 – Guided Reading Groups
We will take another practice spelling test and go over BCR questions students completed yesterday.

2:15 – 2:50 – We will write a free verse poem as a class about school this year. We will free write about our favorite times in school this year.


2:50 – 3:10 – We will listen to Junie B. Jones to relax and have a read a loud for the end of the day
