9:00 – 9:20 – Breakfast, order lunch, and take attendance. Students should come in unpack and begin working on their morning work while eating their breakfast.
9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Curtis will go over the calendar with students. While Mrs. Del Balzo finishes M-class testing.
9:30 – 10: 15 Guided Reading 3 (15 minute rotations)

Go over word wall words using the magnetic letters. Students will review the BCR question for the week and begin discussion how they would answer their questions.

10:15 – 11:10 Whole Group Reading and Writing Time –
We will review the stories students have gone over the last few days and review the elements of a story. Students will then review a Scholastic News magazine on butterflies and complete a text feature sheet on what they learned. After reading the article students will take their knowledge of butterflies to create their own class story of: How The Butterfly Got Its Wings.
11:10 – 11:50 – PE remember to wear your good shoes
11:50 – 12:50 – Lunch and Recess
12:50 – 1:10 – Students will come in and write down their homework for the evening. Students will meet in small groups to review their language sentences fixing spelling and grammatical errors.
1:10 –Switch for math
1:10 – 1:30 – Students should complete the beginning work for Tuesday and write down their homework.
1:30 – 2:15 Guided Reading – While students are not meeting with Mrs. Del Balzo they should be working at their two other stations language and finish work/independent reading. All students will bring their books in a ziplock bag from home. Mrs. Del Balzo will be finishing up m-class assessments with students.

2:15 – 2:40 – Whole Group Reading – we will review the stories students have read the last two days and create our own story about how the butterfly got its wings.
2:40 – 3:10 – Writing
We will share our why tales students wrote while Mrs. Del Balzo was away. Students will draft their stories using their graphic organizers.
3:10 – Switch back for dismissal. Please make sure the morning class has their zip-locks, spelling journals and folders when they go home.
