Friday's Agenda

I hope everyone enjoyed folktale day! It was a huge success and all students did an amazing job! A big thank you to all parents that helped with costumes and practice at home!

Agenda Friday May 29, 2009

9:00 – 9:20 – Breakfast, order lunch, and take attendance. Students should come in unpack and begin working on their morning work while eating their breakfast.

9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Curtis will go over the calendar and morning message with students.

9:30 – 10: 30 We will attend the Hip-Hop Assembly!

10:30 – 11:00 – We will have a guidance lesson with Ms. Borchart. If she does not attend we will complete a vocabulary activity together using a scholastic news article.


11:00- 11:50 – We will complete our DOL and spelling tests and finish our summaries from Wednesday.


11:50 – 12:50 –Lunch and Recess

12:50 – 1:00 – We will complete any unfinished work from the morning and take a bathroom break.

1:00 –Switch for math



















1:10 – 1:30 – We will complete our beginning work on grammar and write down our homework for the evening.

1:30 – 2:15 – Guided Reading Groups

Review our word wall words with a fill in the blank activity. We will reread our new story and begin to discuss the travel that Miss Rumphius went on. Continue working on folktales we are writing and practicing our speeches Language – prefixes and suffixes

2:15 – 3:10 – We will finish comprehension questions about the Statue of Liberty and continue publishing our folktales.
