Agenda Wednesday June 3, 2009
9:00 – 9:20 – Breakfast, order lunch, and take attendance. Students should come in unpack and begin working on their morning work while eating their breakfast.
9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Curtis will go over the calendar and morning message with students.
9:30 – 10: 15 – Guided Reading
Students will read a poem and determine the author’s message. We will use our cookie strategy to write a response to the question.
10:15 – 11:10 – Poetry
We will return to our poetry packets and finish publishing poems. One group will publish their poems from yesterday with Ms. Lasky. The other group will work with Mrs. Del Balzo to finish up poems in their anthologies.
11:10 – 11:50 – Music
11:50 – 12:50 Lunch and Recess
12:50 – 1:10 – We will go over our morning work in small groups and write down our homework for the evening.
1:10 –Switch for math
1:10 – 1:30 – We will complete our beginning work on grammar and write down our homework for the evening.
1:30 – 2:15 – Guided Reading Groups

2:15 – 2:50 – We will write our own haiku poems with Ms. Lasky and students will meet with Mrs. Del Balzo to complete their folktales.
2:50 – 3:10 – We will listen to a folktale story and discuss the problem, events, and solution.
