Remember to complete your TN2 practice sheet each night! Mrs. Dietz did promise golden bones and your name will be on the announcements!
9:20 – 9:30 – We will go over our morning message and correct mistakes using our knowledge of a friendly letter and correct grammar.
9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading
We will all work on word wall words by playing a matching game!
Group 1 – We will discuss vocabulary in our new non-fiction book and select one word to put into a vocabulary web! We will read a self-selected chapter on grizzly bears. During rotations we will finish our BCR!
Group 2 – We will discuss vocabulary in our new non-fiction book and select one word to put into a vocabulary web! We will read three pages on historians. During rotations we will finish our BCR!
Group 3- We will review our word wall words by writing them two times and taking a picture walk of our book on floating. We will think about what the word floating means and put it into a vocabulary web!
10:15 – 10:40 –Whole Group Reading
We will look at our charts to see how the Cinderella stories we read were the same or different. We will complete Venn Diagram together to sort information!
10:40 – 10:55- Writing/Grammar
We will review our morning and write down our homework for tonight.
10:55 – 11:35 – Art
11:35 – 11:50 – Writing – We will select transition words and Mrs. Del Balzo will model how to write a closing to a persuasive letter. Then you will write your own closing!
11:50 – 12:50 –Lunch/Recess
12:50 – 1:10- Writing-We will continue finishing our organizers!
1:10 Switch for Math/Science/Social St.
Afternoon Class
1:00 – 1:30 - Language
We will review our DOL sentences from morning work. We will be sure to include all the parts of a sentence and focus on word choice! We will go over our quiz and graph our results!
1:30 – 2:15 – Guided Reading
*All groups will review word wall words for the week!
Group 1 – We will share our thoughts and questions from yesterday. We will chart all of the elements this folktale had in our notebooks! We will reread the story!
Group 2- We will receive rewards for our outstanding BCRs and review the story from yesterday. We will share our thoughts and finish reading. Students will share questions and as a group we will chart the elements of a folktale.
Group 3 - We will share our thoughts and questions from yesterday. We will chart all of the elements this folktale had in our notebooks! We will reread the story!
2:15 – 2:40 – Whole Group Reading

2:40 – 3:15 – Writing
Writing/Grammar
We will complete our organizers and begin drafting our letters. Mrs. Del Balzo will model how to write a strong closing!
