So Sorry for being out on Friday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to work! We have a lot to do this week. Just get a load of our agenda for Monday:-)

9:20 – 9:30 – We will go over our morning message and correct mistakes using our knowledge of a friendly letter and correct grammar.

9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading

Group 1 – We will see who got a 3 on their BCR. We will review our word wall words and take a picture walk of our new non-fiction text.

Group 2 – We will see who got a 3 on their BCR. We will review our word wall words and take a picture walk of our new text!

Group 3- We will review our spelling words and take a picture walk of our new book!

10:15 – 10:40 –Whole Group Reading
We will read, The Korean Cinderella and chart the elements of a folktale on our chart. We will orally compare the three stories we have read. Tomorrow we will use a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast them!

10:40 – 10:55- Writing/Grammar
We review our morning work and get ready for our quiz.

10:55 – 11:35 – Media

11:35 – 11:50 – Writing – We will start our last writing piece about pollution using a new persuasive writing graphic organizer!

11:50 – 12:50 –Lunch/Recess

12:50 – 1:10- Language
We will take our language quiz and continue to work on our organizers!

Afternoon Class

1:00 – 1:30 - Language
We will review our DOL sentences from morning work. We will be sure to include all the parts of a sentence and focus on word choice! We will go over our quiz tomorrow!

1:30 – 2:15 – Guided Reading
*All groups will review word wall words for the week!
Group 1 – We will review our story from last week and discuss how the shared inquiry model went on Friday! We will introduce a new story and begin taking a picture walk!

Group 2- We will review our character trait BCRs and take a picture walk of a new text!

2:15 – 2:40 – Whole Group Reading
We will review, The Korean Cinderella from Friday and listen to Sootface, a Native American Cinderella story. We will chart the elements of a folktale and get ready for our compare and contrast discussion tomorrow when we will use a Venn Diagram to sort our details that are the same and different!

2:40 – 3:15 – Writing
Writing/Grammar
We will introduce a new graphic organizer and continue our letters to President Obama! We really need to focus on our reasoning so we will review a model letter from a third grader!
