I hope everyone had a great day today. I just wanted to give you heads up for tomorrow. I did send interims home today for Ms. Sheinin's and my homeroom. I would be happy to take any and all questions you have. If you would like to schedule a conference please just let me know. I know Ms. Sheinin is not here right now but I would be happy to answer any questions you might have about your child's progress in math as Ms. Sheinin has brought me up to date on their progress.
Reading AM- We will be reading another poem and discussing the important word use in the poem. Students will be trying one on their own tomorrow. I modeled on Monday and today we did one together. Now I want to see what they can do on their own. In writing we will be creating our glossaries for our books. We are almost done YES! We continue to work on short e for spelling and our test will be next Tuesday!
Reading PM- Today students wrote their own responses to poem and the important words that were used. They compared nature to a music maker. Tomorrow we will take sample responses and score them as a group. This way students know exactly what is expect when they are graded on a BCR question. Students will try to improve their scores by trying other response. In writing I needed to model how to write a paragraph again. Students were taking all of their information and putting it into one sentence. This created a one sentence paragraph and that does not meet the expectation, soooo we will pick it up again tomorrow. Please study those spelling words our test will be next Tuesday!
