Sorry for not posting last night. I guess I am going to have to schedule time to write. Yesterday was another exciting time for students. We are continuing to develop our routines and students set ground rules for behavior in class. We are going to continue introducing new activities (centers) in our class over the next few weeks so students know the expectation when they are not working directly with a teacher. I am also collecting information on students on sight words, spelling, and soon we will be starting our fall reading assessments, where I test students individually. I know you have not been seeing a lot of homework this week, but I will start introducing things slowly starting next week. Ask your child about their bulldog bones. They receive these tickets from myself and other teachers when they are caught doing something good or meeting an expectation for behavior. Students can trade in their tickets for prizes during different times of the month . We are trying to collect 10 tickets per student to get free ice cream this Friday. I will be sure to post right after school today so there is no delay in information. Enjoy your Thursday (my commute this morning rough I hope yours is not) and be happy for the rain. Now my husband can stop watering our lawn:-)
Love, Mrs. Del Balzo
