Ok so I am blogging early today:-) Today was packed full of learning as I am sure each day will be until the end of the year. We began our day with breakfast and morning work. Students are getting much faster at picking the errors out in a sentence. We are working on going over the grammar skills together. Students should be correcting their work as we go over it. I catch most errors but not all as I am walking around so please remind your child to make the corrections I make. I will be sending home those packets tomorrow. Next week we will begin quizzes on language that reflect what we learned throughout the week. We also learned about making connections to things that we read. This is going to be our main focus next week so you will be hearing much more about it. During writing we discussed memories and many students wrote about the great trips they took this summer. Riley's trip to Hershey Park and Blesyn's trip to Virginia sounded like a lot of fun. The writing I collected today gives me a baseline as to where to begin writing lessons. After we went to P.E. students enjoyed lunch and indoor recess because of the rain. During the afternoon we went around the school to model behavior for our PBIS expectations.
