Welcome Back!

April 15, 2009
9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Del Balzo will go over our agenda and the word of the month. We will read a letter from Mrs. Del Balzo and fix mistakes!

9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading
All groups will complete a fill in the blank sheet for word wall words.
Group 1 – We will review our word wall words by completing fill in the blank activity. We will complete a vocabulary sheet on a key concept from the text.
Group 2 – We will review our word wall words by completing fill in the blank sheet and we will write down the three text features we found in our book yesterday.
Group 3 – We will review our spelling words for the week and take a picture walk of our new text. We will complete a vocabulary web of a new concept.

10:15 – 10:40 – Whole Group Reading
We will reread “Fog” and discuss vocabulary concepts in the poem and how the author compares the fog to a cat.

10:40 – 11:10 – Writing
We will use our objects from home to brainstorm ideas for writing a poem. If there is time we will begin writing our poems.

11:10 – 12:50 –Music/Lunch/ Recess

12:50 – 1:10- Students will go over their language sentences and begin independent reading. We will write down our homework for tonight.











PM Class 1:10 – 3:10

1:10 – 1:30 – We will go over language sentences and write down our homework for the evening.

1:30 – 2:15 Guided Reading
Group 1 1:30 – 1:45– We will complete a fill in the blank activity for word wall words and review the BCR we will answer for the week.
Group 2 –1:45 – 2:00 - We will complete a fill in the blank activity for word wall words and review the BCR we will answer for the week.
Group 3 – 2:00 – 2:15 - We will complete a fill in the blank activity for word wall words and review the BCR we will answer for the week.



2:15 – 2:40 – Whole Group Reading
