New Baby!

My husband and I welcomed our second son on August 6th, so I'm sorry for not posting more often. We have been reading like crazy with Austin since there is a lot of downtime with a new born and I have discovered that I really enjoy being different characters in stories. I know many of us read to our kids but how often do you really get into character when you read? The other night we even got some props out to use during our reading and it was so much fun! You have to risk looking a little bit silly but by the end of the day who isn't feeling a bit siily, right?

As you enjoy these last few days with your kids try acting out some of your favorite stories. Don't make it hard just make it fun! Remember that a love of stories and books goes a lot further than the quantity or the amount of time we spend doing it. Get to the pool and have a great last week of summer. Below are a few recommended stories for the last week of freedom.
