Friday's Agenda

May 8, 2009
9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Del Balzo will go over our agenda and the word of the month. We will read a letter from Mrs. Del Balzo and fix mistakes!

9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading
All groups will complete a fill in the blank sheet for word wall words.
Group 1 – We will play a memory game with our word wall words. We will celebrate our great responses and begin thinking about how the Wolf changed in the story.
Group 2 – We will play a memory game with our word wall words. We will celebrate our great responses and begin a picture walk of our new story.
Group 3 – We play a memory game with our word wall words. We will take a picture walk of our new book for next week.

10:15 – 11:10 – Whole Group Reading and Writing
We review our folktale from yesterday and in small groups we will begin to adapt Little Red Riding Hood into our own story.

11:10 – 11:50 – We will go over our language packets and take our DOL quiz!

11:50 – 12:50 – Lunch and Recess

12:50 – 1:00– We will listen to a story and take a bathroom break.














PM Class 1:00 – 3:10

1:10 – 1:40 We will go over language sentences and take our language quiz for the week.

1:40 – 2:30 – We will listen to a folktale and complete a folktale elements sheet with a partner.

2:30 – 3:00 – We will listen to chapter 4 of Ramona Quimby Age 8 and then answer a BCR question on our own.

3:00 – 3:10 – We will finish up our responses and listen to a read aloud on the carpet.

3:10 – Switch back for dismissal.
