Thursday's Agenda

Tomorrow we will start putting our poetry anthologies together for publishing! How exciting!

9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Del Balzo will go over our agenda and the word of the month. We will read a letter from Mrs. Del Balzo and fix mistakes!

9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading
All groups will complete a fill in the blank sheet for word wall words.
Group 1 – We will begin writing our BCR responses to why Nolbu had bad things happen to him throughout the story. We will play one round of Wordo to practice sight words.
Group 2 – We will begin our BCR on what Ellie and Jack learned in the story. We will play one round of WORDO to prepare for our sight word quiz on Friday.
Group 3 – We will write how father mouse was brave. We will review our word wall words by playing WORDO.

10:15 – 11:10 – Whole Group Reading and Writing
We will discuss the author’s craft of using onomatopoeia. This is when an author uses sound words to share their message of a poem. For example, the rock when plop in the water. We will begin a poetry anthology to share at a poetry “tea

11:10 – 12:50 – Physical Education / Lunch / Recess

12:50 – 1:10 – We will copy our homework for the evening and go over our language sentences from the morning.














PM Class 1:10 – 3:10

1:10 – 1:30 – We will go over language sentences and write down our homework for the week.

1:30 – 2:15 Guided Reading
Group 1 1:35 – 1:50– We will begin writing or BCR on what the man was trying to persuade the man to do.
Group 2 –1:15 – 2:05 - We will begin writing what the problem and solution were in the story and how the characters solved the problem.
Group 3 – 2:05 – 2:20 - We will write what characteristic many tall tales have and show examples from the story in our written responses.


2:20 – 3:15 – Whole Group Reading and Writing
