Friday's Agenda

March 27, 2009
9:20 – 9:30 – Mrs. Del Balzo will go over our agenda and the word of the month. We will read a letter from Mrs. Del Balzo and fix mistakes!

9:30 – 10:15 – Guided Reading
Group 1 – We will complete our BCRs and read our favorite books to practice fluency.
Group 2 – We will complete our BCRs and read our favorite books for practice fluency.
Group 3 – We will practice our spelling words and put sentences in order.

10:15 – 10:40 – Whole Group Reading
We will finish our written response questions on how leaders are important.

10:40 – 11:10- Language:
We will go over our morning work and take a DOL quiz and spelling test.

11:10 – 11:30 - Writing
Students will put final touches on their written assessments before handing them in.

11:30 – 11:50 – TN2 test prep

11:50 – 12:50 – Lunch/ Recess

12:50 – 1:00- Students will finish any assignments from the morning and book box read until math time.










PM Class 1:00 – 3:10

1:10 – 1:30 – Students will come in and go over their language packets and write down their homework in their planners. We will take our spelling test and DOL quiz at this time.

1:30 – 2:15 –Guided Reading – Each group is a 15 minute rotation.
All students will take a Word Wall quiz!
Rotations: While students are not meeting with Mrs. Del Balzo they are completing language activities or reading/writing independently.

Group 1 1:30 – 1:45– We will discuss text features and locate three in our text. Then we will share what we learned by using the text feature.
Group 2 –1:45 – 2:00 - We will summarize a chapter by determining the main idea and using supporting details.
Group 3 – 2:00 – 2:15 - We will summarize a chapter by determining the main idea and using supporting details.


2:15 – 2:35 – Whole Group Reading
We will have TN2 test prep! Be sure to use your test taking strategies!

2:35 – 3:15 – Writing
We will finish our final writing assessment. Use strong reasons, opinion statements, and vocabulary!
