Today we got a lot of testing done. YES! We are going to try to finish by the end of the week. Unfortunately I will be out tomorrow because mommy duty calls. All the kids know I am going to be out tomorrow and we will get right back on track when I return on Thursday. Please keep sending in field trip money and permission slips. Class picture day is also this Thursday so if you want to purchase one please send in money by Thursday. Our class picture is also in the yearbook if you want to save some money and wait to order your yearbook in the spring!
Reading AM- We began with guided reading groups and m-class testing. After which we discussed how to figure out words we were unfamiliar with in our space book. We found the word rover today and figured out it was like a little toy car by reading the sentences around the word. During writing we worked on our final writing assessment some more and then we were off to Art class! After lunch we went over our grammar lesson talking about verb tense and we packed up to go to math.
Reading PM- We began with our grammar work as usual and then held guided reading groups. Students were so excited to get their new literature circle jobs we just kept testing and let them work on that. Students also worked on publishing their animal books and reading in their novels. I am so proud of the progress they are making and the motivation I now see coming out in them. Can you tell I love bragging about your kids!
